Access an unlimited number of content sources !

BiblioMondo’s Metasearch allows you to access multiple content sources simultaneously using a single search statement. This makes the search process much easier by condensing the information that is found and presenting it in an organized manner.

Metasearch works by automatically opening a session in each external or internal content source. It extracts references for documents that satisfy the criteria specified. Results are presented in a clear and coherent way, in a single window, sorted according to one of a number of different rules. From there, a single click brings up the desired document.

Two levels: Isearch and Z39.50 Client

Isearch is a powerful tool that allows its users to expand their search to external databases while using the same interrogation mode and the same interface.

With a single query Isearch simultaneously interrogates an unlimited number of information sources (libraries, government agencies, real-time news services, web sites, intranets, etc.). Each target can be configured and new targets and categories can be created to satisfy the particular needs of your organization.

Z39.50 Client allows you to search remote Z39.50 targets. It is also possible to search through multiple targets all at once. All records are displayed using the same format as the one used in local searches.Z39.50 searches are included in the patron’s search history and Z39.50 records can also be saved in a personal notepad. Z39.50 Client also lets you specify specific search indexes (title, author, etc).

A single Interface allows you to access heterogeneous contents

Metasearch Zone provides a user-friendly web interface that allows you to conduct a search simultaneously in a wide variety of information sources. The data that is retrieved is presented as a heterogeneous whole, thus making its analysis easier. Because of its perfect integration within the ZonesL online catalog, the switch from one type of search to another is done simply, using the same query language.
