Since his arrival on the French market in the early 1990s, BiblioMondo has established a large clientele of public libraries, including world-renowned institutions.
The Public Information Library is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture and Communication and is located in the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The library is a multimedia encyclopedia that provides adults with all kinds of resources: 400 000 documents including books, journals, maps and atlases, microfilms and film documentaries and animations. Very popular since its origins, the library offers more than 5 000 entries per day and 1.9 million admissions per year. It comprises 10 400 sq reading rooms and 400 workstations (computer, audiovisual, microfilm).
The common catalog of cultural heritage and specialized libraries provides access to the consultation of scanned documents (iconography, valuable books, 78s,...), and a database of outstanding funds. It also enables a federated search in other online bibliographic catalogs.
Available by Internet since early 2006, the online catalog lists, describes and locates documents of various kinds (prints, pictures, multimedia,...) from specialized libraries in Paris (Historical Library of the City of Paris, the Buffon Research Center of the Book Trades, the François Truffaut Library on Film, the Forney Library and the Graphic Arts Fund, the Music Library of Paris and many others ...).
